Your gifts have helped our Foundation build a legacy of providing opportunities that are essential for a world class public education.  Students from Lakewood succeed and graduate prepared for college and the world because of what they receive while they're with us.

Last year alone, gifts from generous donors like you who believe in the power of opportunities made these things possible:

·         Supported 28 graduating seniors with over $25,000 in scholarships

·         Purchased almost $25,000 in instruments for band and orchestra as well as music lessons

·         Provided almost $3000 for our Academic Challenge and Model United Nations teams to travel to competitions

·         Funded $22,500 for a college specialist who assisted over 600 seniors and  underclassmen with college information, applications and financial aid

·         Encouraged 28 educators to take their students to the next level with almost $10,000 in grants for innovative teaching projects

·         Awarded almost $4,000 to girls and boys sports teams to attend clinics and special competitions

Restored the historic Great Lakes Mural which hung in the L Room in the 'old' building to placement in a prominent location in the new student dining space.
